Hammond Multiplex Typewriter, White House Collection
This Hammond Multiplex typewriter was owned by President Woodrow Wilson. Wilson used the typewriter to draft his messages and speeches and took it with him on his 1919 tour to gather support for the League of Nations. The typewriter is part of the White House Collection and is currently on display at the White House Visitor Center. George F. Mobley photographed the typewriter in 1962, during the John F. Kennedy administration.
